2 Ingredient Sugar Free Dessert

Written by Millennial In debt on April 3, 2015

Even though our 40 Day Sugar free detox may be over it doesn't mean our TNT Summer Ready Challenge is done. WE are still in this together to achieve healthier versions of our selves in time for the summer season. At times we get these sugar cravings that just won't seem to go away but they can be detrimental to our progress during our challenge. So here is a quick option that can be turned into so much more with a few more ingredients (but let's start/stick to the basics at first) that your sweet tooth will be satisfied and the cravings will be taken care of without wrecking your new healthy lifestyle.

So what will you need for this amazing 2 ingredient sugar free dessert I speak of? Bananas and your fruit of choice. Thats it! You don't even need a high powered blender or food processor to reap the benefits and enjoy this tasty healthy treat. I used my regular blender, and just started using my Nutri Bullet with the same results. So let's get started with the break down!

Ingredients:

Ripe Bananas

Fruit Of Choice  (My favorite are strawberries)

Blender

Process:

Take 1-2 bananas depending on how many servings you plan on making and chop them up into small slices. The smaller the slices the easier it will be on your blender (but the harder it will be to separate after the next step ... so pick a middle ground)

After you have chopped up your banana, put the pieces into a sandwich bag and let them freeze for 2-3 hours. I usually leave mine over night.

Remove the frozen bananas and separate the pieces before throwing them into your blender. If you just want a banana flavored ice cream/soft serve then you can skip the following step.

Add in your favorite fruit or mix of different fruits to get different flavors. Blend your frozen bananas and other fruit until you get a thick creamy soft serve consistency (you want to make sure you don't blend too long so it doesnt turn to liquid)

There you have it ! A tasty, guilt free alternative to ice  cream/ soft serve or frozen yogurt. You can jazz this recipe up by adding toppings or different flavors to change the experience. I've added in chocolate chips, oreo cookies, peanut butter, ...etc. (These options make it less guilt free but still better than a tub of Talenti or Ben N Jerrys) ! Below are a few of my favorite Soft Serve 2 Ingredient Banana Recipes I've fallen in love with across the internet. I hope you enjoy! And feel free to share your recipes or experiences in trying out this recipe!!!
