It's May, it's May, it's May! Summer is right on the horizon and if you haven't been getting your summer body ready year round you've still got a little time left before the big reveal. Trust me, even though I talk a very big fitness talk, my eating habits have been preventing me from seeing major gains and changes in the gym. Even though I work out 4-5 times a week it surely has been in vain. While I can't say I'm going to automatically do better, I can say I'm going to make an effort to do better consistently. A cheat day every once in a while is not the problem, it's a cheat weak that can set you back.
So in the spirit of doing better, I'm going to start not only eating better, but effectively living a healthier lifestyle as well. That means I'm going to go back to my only friend/enemy: Apple Cider vinegar. I've tried to incorporate Apple Cider Vinegar into my life more often and each time has been a massive fail even though I know the benefits.

Both in my hair care regimen, and my diet I've decided to give Apple Cider Vinegar one more chance to work its magic. In doing so I'm going to be using it to detox for the next three months (I'm making smaller goals instead of saying forever) in preparation for my trip to Croatia in August. The thing that always bothers me with Apple Cider Vinegar, is that I can't get over the taste and smell. When using it in my hair I force myself to do so because I know it is temporary and the odor will fade, but when ingesting it that is a whole new story.
Instead of making myself suffer continuously, I've decided to share the best detox recipes you can add to your arsenal if you're anything like me and just can't stand the ACV on its own.
Ingredients:
2 TBSP Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
1 TBSP Honey
3 TBSP Orange Juice
1 inch of Ginger
1 Cup Of Water
Process: Make ginger water by crushing the ginger and adding in 1 cup of water. For 15 minutes allow the water to simmer on low flame. Let it cool down, add the ACV, honey, and orange juice. Stir it up and drink up.
Ingredients:
2 TBSP Raw Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
1 TBSP of Honey
2 TBSP OF Lime Juice
1 Cup Of Water
Process: Warm up the water and add the ACV. Pour in the lemon juice and honey and stir it while the honey dissolves. You can now drink your detox drink without the ACV taste being extremely potent.
Ingredients:
1 Medium Sized Cucumber
1/2 Cup Spinach
2 TBSP of Honey
1 TBSP ACV
2 Cups Of Water
Process: Add cucumber, spinach and water in a blender and blend until smooth. I use my Nutribullet and it works just as magically. Add more water to thin out if you'd like. Add in ACV and honey and blend again. Your ACV green juice is ready.
Ingredients:
1 TBSP ACV
1 TBSP Honey
1 Cup Of Water
A Pinch of Cayenne Pepper
Process: Warm the water up on a low flame or throw it into your microwave for a minute. No need for the water to be brought to a boil. Add the apple cider vinegar to it and stir. Then throw in the cayenne pepper and honey. Stir it up and enjoy your spicy drink.
Ingredients:
3 TBSP Pure Cranberry Juice
2 TBSP ACV
1 1/2 Cups of Water
1 TBSP Honey
Process: Warm up the water on low flame or in the microwave. Add ACV and stir the mixture. Then add in the cranberry juice and honey. Stir and your apple cider detox drink vinegar drink is ready.
