I don't like to spend money at all, but when I do spend my money I like to spend it with intention. That means spending my coin deliberately with companies that I truly support. Am I successful all the time? No... but I believe in spreading more knowledge it will become more second nature than an intent decision.
We often here that it is difficult to shop small or shop black owned because 1) a variety of products aren't available 2) it's too pricy or 3) it is not readily available. Well... when curating this list I myself was pleasantly pleased to see that lack of variety isn't even a question. The prices are for the most part aligned with the "regular" prices we see with mass market products on our local shelves. And speaking of local shelves... many of these black owned natural hair product lines are readily available at your local beauty supply, CVS, Walgreens and Target.
So now that we have debunked those common myths, let's focus on spending our money right for Black Friday. Most (if not all) of these brands have special deals lined up for Black Friday so I suggest making your rounds on their websites and social media accounts to grab up all these deals that won't last long. And if always spread the word! The more sharing we do of black owned business the less likely anyone can say "I didn't know".
