I've been doing the Stock Tip Tuesday series for almost 2 months, and this week is especially important to share. You can imagine how shocked I was after doing a bit of research into black businesses, and out of the 2.6 million black businesses in the United States only 12 of them are publicly traded on the NYSE. Can you believe it? 0.003% of the 4,000 publicly traded companies on the New York Stock Exchange are black owned businesses.

When looking to invest in the stock market I always stress looking into the history of the companies and how they have performed in various types of markets. So I want to make it very very very clear, although I am definitely going to look into these companies to invest my money into, I am not saying to just jump in and invest because they are black owned businesses.

Always discuss your options with a financial advisor before making any big decisions with large amounts of money, and if you are looking into investing I highly suggest starting out with this video here { Best Stock Market Investing Apps In 2020 }. I prefer to use RobinHood, E-Trade, and Acorns.
